JDRF Beat the Bridge Training by marilyn

JDRF Beat the Bridge Training

I got some hot new shoes yesterday which will hopefully help my feet/shins as I work out on the treadmill while trying to get ready to walk 4 miles in the JDRF Beat the Bridge Race to Beat Diabetes in Seattle in May. We have 2 nieces and several young friends with Type 1 diabetes, so Marvin and I formed a team and are walking to help raise funds for the near-to-our-heart JDRF. I am pretty excited to do this small thing to support all those dealing daily with T1D... especially those we know and love. Since I had a hard time getting a focussed shot of my shoes while walking on the treadmill, I decided to go for the Technique Challenge #2 - Motion Blur.
Great looking shoes, and I also bought a treadmill, but have been too busy painting to use it.

@digitalrn Thanks... I thought they were fun, but more importantly they felt amazing on my feet! This treadmill belongs to our local fitness center, "The Fit Farm."

@deburahiru Thanks, Deb... The colors are what attracted me to the shoes in the first place, but the fit is why I bought them!

Impressive to see how well your shot turned out! Amazing skills to walk and shoot at the same time! I would have fallen on my face!

Ok, this is great! Now I can feel like I'm on the treadmill while sitting looking at photos. Hope I can loose weight looking at them too

@grammyn Thank you... I was actually a little afraid I would fall so I originally slowed the treadmill way down, but I actually got better shots afterI reset it to my "speedy" pace of 2.7 mph! :) (with a 1.5 incline, whatever that means hill-wise!)

@ruthmouch Thank you so much, Ruth! I think it my be a stretch that I called it training as it really is just trying to get in a little better shape for walking... :)
