We got new luggage for the motorcycle AND a trailer, so Marvin has been wiring for the trailer and now is mounting the luggage. With the new luggage and trailer we should be good to go for our trip to Irvine... which we expect to take 4 - 5 days using US Hwy. 101 & CA Hwy. 1... a longer, but much more scenic route than the freeway. I'm excited for the photo-ops, but posts will most likely be sporadic and may not happen at all until we arrive in Irvine.
@leananiemand Thanks, Leana... I am so looking forward to it! We planned to do it last summer, but the motorcycle decided to have a little starter issue so, since I did not want to have to push Marvin and the motorcycle to get it started, we opted for the car.
@deburahiru Thanks, Deb... I have been along the Oregon Coast between Tillamook and Seaside and based on how beautiful that drive is I know I am bound to get some good shots! :)
Thank you so much for your congratulations. This trip sounds wonderful- have a great time and say "Wheeeeee!" with your hands up once for me while you drive up the coast on Highway 1 (I think it goes up the coast, right?)
@olivetreeann It does go up the coast, but we will be going down the coast first! It'll be hard to put my hands up and say "wheeeeee!" because I have Maggie on my lap and a camera in my hands, but I'll give it a try... :)
@fonk I am so looking forward to it! 1. I love riding on the back of the motorcycle; 2. the coast should be awesome; 3. excited to visit Marisa and Tim; 4. looking forward to some R&R by the pool and some shopping with my girl! :)
@deburahiru Hopefully we will be arriving in Tillamook around dinnertime... and definitely some ice cream and squeaky cheese no matter what time we get there! I love squeaky cheese... and Tillamook ice cream! :)
@leananiemand Oh, we have been back for a long time... I have just been so crazy busy and stressful at work this year and then I took a month to go to Alabama to help take care of my sister ( @grammyn ) after her car accident, so I just have not gotten back to taking pics. I check in to 365 to check out my sis's pics and to look at some others (yours included) but I only comment on Katy's. I am retiring in June and I hope to get back to my photos and 365 after that. I still look at things and think, "that would make an amazing photo" but I just do not seem to have the time or energy I need to make a go of being active on 365. I miss it and the people, but don't want to start back up until I have the time to take part the way I want to. Love to see all your travels... you are one amazing lady and photographer!
Hi Marilyn! I just started up 365 again a couple days ago! Thought I'd stop by and say hi! ( I think I am on my 4th day back and already don't feel like taking a pic!)
@elizabeth264 I feel ya! I think every once-in-awhile about starting up again, but I know it would be super sporadic or I would get all sucked in and not have time to do anything else that needs doing here. :) I did take some awesome shots (well, awesome for iPhone shots!) of our town flooding today. I was just thinking about posting them, but I would need to collage them and it is getting close to bedtime... and I really need my sleep!
Great shot
Have fun
Think of me when you eat the "squeaky"cheese! (what is that?!)
