Whenever Maggie goes for a ride with us, she will occasionally wake up and stick her nose right up to one of the vents and start sniffing like crazy. Most of the time she will then just put her head back down in her bed, but on our way to church or when we are coming up the street she always starts sniffing at the same spot and then sits up and looks around until we park. Thursday she started sniffing about 2 blocks from Jeff's house (where she hasn't been for almost a year) and by the time we pulled into his driveway she was quivering with excitement andpractically on the dashboard to spot his house!
Actually taken on the 3rd, but posting it for the 4th... seems like I either take lots of pics or no pics!
@vskolnik It is! Our son told us once that he had read about a dog's sense of smell and that they don smell, for instance, a Bic Mac... they smell beef, flour, yeast, vinegar, dill, etc.
Now that's one good sniffer! Very cute! Sometimes I wonder about Ami, she will stick her nose in the air and let out a few barks when nothing seems to be around. I'm like do we have ghosts or what? Ha!
This is really funny - I'm glad you explained what she is up to. I was about to assume she had thought this the appropriate part of the car's anatomy for greetings etc etc… Great pic and great story.
