Marvin just came home from a Middle School Football game on his way to a High School Volleyball game and invited me out to the porch to see Mama Moose and her twins chowing down on apples across the street. Because it was dusk and the only camera I had handy was my phone, the pic is not as good as I would like. I was going to crop it to zoom, but it got pretty grainy because of the lack of light so I just left it SOOC(P).
@grammyn They have been wandering around town for a couple of weeks now so maybe I'll get another chance at the with a better camera. I am not feeling a whole lot better, but that's probably the evening talking... I am usually better in the morning. Marvin said the rash is starting to look better but I am still feeling pretty dragged out. I know this is a slow process so I am trying not to be too impatient but I am impatient!
@digitalrn Not at all, Rick. They may seem brave to be this close to people, but if they feel threatened they will charge without hesitating and they are much larger and much faster than people! For the past few years we have had at least one mama and baby, and the occasional bull, wandering around town stripping gardens and fruit trees. They also have done some yard you damage and have even broken a couple of basement windows when they stepped into a window well. They are fun, fascinating and frustrating to have around.
@wannabe It is pretty exciting to see them, but they really are a nuisance in town because they can take out a garden in no time at all and will also eat all the fruit they can reach from a tree. I heard they have been wandering around town today so I hope they might make it back to our neighborhood this evening and I can get some better pics.
how are you feeling?
