Café Catalog... or, May I Help You Find Your Beverage?
I’m guessing many of you here are familiar with this piece of furniture as it was once ubiquitous in libraries... prior to the advent of newer technology. I was the keeper of this unit for many years in my role as school librarian, but it has recently been relegated to the back room and was headed for storage in an environment not preferred for wood... so I volunteered to store it for the school. I have been wanting to make a beverage nook and I feel like this is a great start... just needs a bit of decor and proper labels for the drawers. In case the emotional attachment of the card catalog itself isn’t enough, the woven topper was made by a dear friend who has since passed away.

@byrdlip I actually do not plan to fill it with mugs, but with assorted coffee, tea and assorted beverage fixings. I realized after I posted the shot that I should have opened some of the drawers to show the tea bags, coffee pods, etc. I took a look at pics of the Liberty Cafe and it is so cool! Love that idea... makes it so homey and personal.
