I said yesterday that I hoped the garden would not feature today and went Kingfisher hunting. That was successful but photographs not good enough to post on here, so will just have to keep trying. I saw and shot several other interesting species but this Robin that kept coming into the hide as I waited for the return of the Kingfisher was just too cute not to post. At first I thought there was only one of these really tame and cheeky Robins but towards the end of my visit there were two. There is another shot of this one, or his mate in my other album today.
I so love your bird photos! I've got three bird feeders up with thistle seed, mealworms, and a seed/nut/raisin mix respectively, but still no customers. I wonder if all the frigid winds that we had over the last few days from the "Arctic Vortex" blew the neighborhood birds away...
@bernicrumb Thank you Berni, just keep them there and filled, sometimes it takes them a while to find feeders but once they do they normally return and bring all their friends too.
@cailts Thank you very much Clare and for the Fav, Kingfishers are definitely on this years list, I have got two sites where you stand quite a good chance not just to see them but actually shoot them too. I just need to be there when they visit.
Wonderful the perfect robin shot. We just need some snow now so all us 365ers can get out and bag ourselves the essential winter scene with a little redbreast hopping about the white stuff!
