Yesterday I showed you the Bombed-Out Church in Liverpool, there is a link below incase you missed the history of the church. This is inside the church, to the right is the All Together Statue, again from yesterday. I am stood with my back to the tower, looking down to the far end of the church. As I was stood at the other end, taking a few shots, a gentleman came up to me and told ma a story which will sound almost unbelievable. However my other two posts today are the proof, that fact is frequently stranger than fiction.
The night the bomb hit the church, causing the fire which ripped out the interior of the church, and caused almost all of the windows and the stained glass designs to be destroyed. basically just two small bits of stained glass were left after the fire.
If you look through the archway, you might just be able to see, half of a big arched window at the very far end of the church. Where this arched window comes down on each side, and the line changes from arch to a vertical, basically in the the top corner of the window, this is where the two remaining bits of stain glass survived.
So okay, I hear you say, a couple of bits of the stained glass were left intact, so what ?
Well it has much more what the remaining glass portrays.
The only two remaining stain glass designs after the inferno, were......
Two Guardian Angels !!!
Now is that Amazing or what ?
Below are links to the photographs of these Guardian Angels.
