TUMBLE DOWN COTTAGE by markp

TUMBLE DOWN COTTAGE

Wandering around a very deserted part of North Wales, once I was off the main road, I never saw another person or car all day long. From a vantage point on the narrow track, I spied this old house. It was really in the middle of nowhere. There was no trace of a road, track or even a footpath leading to it. It was quite a trek along sheep and rabbit runs, tussocky grass, stoney outcrops and boggy areas.
I am pretty sure it won't have been photographed that often. Certainly not close up.
Fabulous shot.

A bit more than just a handyman's dream! The fireplace is the last thing to fall down!

Makes you wonder about who built it, and why they chose that spot. Deserted houses always seem to make me wonder about the lives that lived there once.

Really nice focus to show all the work that went into building that cottage. That's what always impresses me first - how do they stack those rocks to stay so well - well, they probably stayed for many years!
