@gardencat Thank you Joanne. These are not the same as House Mice which like to live in our homes. These tend to stay outdoors, its more by accident, than design if they enter our houses.
They are smaller, I think look cuter, and also don't have that mousey smell of their cousins.
@shepherdmanswife Thank you, Chantal. This is in my garden, across from the kitchen window. He is underneath a feeder, and is eating sunflower hearts crumbs. They have been around for years, but not often in such a good spot, its a raised bed, so I don't have to try that hard to get down to their level. Once I saw they were regularly coming back to the same spot, I cleared away some of the vegetation to open it up, and to improve the light. A large bag of topsoil was used to create a flatter, cleaner surface. I've got a large canvas hide which normally lives further down the garden, but I brought it up here and waited.
I have tried using various artificial methods of lighting the area, but as the year has progressed, on a sunny morning the sun lights up this area very well for about an hour or so.
If you go right up to the white wall, ( with the ivy branches ), at the very front of the image, and stand or sit totally motionless, they will come out and eat within inches of me. I can't take a photograph from that position though.
