@rosiekind Yes, Rosie, it is a nice feeling to have gained his trust. I had at least two pairs in the garden for most of the winter. The other male, easily distinguished from Scruff, came to my hand a few times, but not regularly.
The second pair, have now appeared to have left my garden, probably to find a suitable nest site to avoid fighting with Scruff all the time. However, last year once there were young chicks to feed, both the pair nesting in my garden, and another pair that kept coming over the hedge from a different direction, used my plentiful feeders.
Robbie might have just found a better site to nest, and may return once there are babies to feed.
