ORANGE LADYBIRD - FOUR by markp

ORANGE LADYBIRD - FOUR

When I first found this in the garden, with it's bright unusual colouring I thought it was a different colour phase of the alien Harlequin Ladybird. However after a bit of research it turns out to be a natural UK species, aptly named the Orange Ladybird.
This is the first time I have found this species in the garden.

Just love this close up. So much character and those marching feet! So glad it isn't the invasive kind.
