This bridge closed on 13th October 2017 for 12 months, it has still not re-opened.
There is a pedestrian/ cyclists pathway on the outside of the main span, behind the green fence to the left.
This has been open sometimes, not always.
However cycling over this morning, I discovered the footway was closed again. However instead of there being no access at all, they had taped off a way across to the right hand side of the bridge and pedestrians and cyclists could cross on the rather rough main roadway.
Its the first time I've crossed on this part for over two and a half years.
PS. It turns out they were resurfacing the footway on the far side of the bridge, hence the closure.
