A male Blackbird on his way back to feed his babies. Watching him for a while there is quite a variety of food going back to the nest.
UPDATE at 19.30. I have just watched a big female Sparrowhawk swoop in, and grab a male Blackbird, and fly away with it. Hope it wasn't this one, as it was very tame, and had young to feed. I will know tomorrow.
There are a few in and around the garden.
A varied diet is the best! We have a Coopers hawk that hangs around here sometimes, I've never seen him(or her) make a strike but I have caught him with the remains of the feast. Always makes me sad but maybe he has babies to feed too.
