We parked the car next to the north ventilation building of the Maastunnel to go play minigolf. Perhaps these buildings by J.P. van Bruggen and Ad van der Steur, including both fire stations and entrance buildings for cyclists and pedestrians, are the most beautiful architectural wonders of Rotterdam. Even this side entrance to whatever there's inside, is an attraction to the eye.
If you ever visit Rotterdam you should rent a bike and try to descend the long and steep escalator! Let me know if you dare :-)
