The lodging for predators in Blijdorp Zoo was designed by Sybold van Ravesteyn in 1938. The accommodation was very progressive with a ditch instead of bars and a relatively big open space. Nowadays it's one of the oldest kennels in the Zoo and it sure look that way. Still it's a beautiful building!
These red signs are a mystery. I assume they warn visitors in case a lion runs loose.
