Red Rowen by megpicatilly

Red Rowen

The beautiful, red Rowen berries are so prolific this year. In the British Isles they are thought to protect against witches and the colour red was thought to be a protection against enchantment. The rowan's vibrant berries in autumn may have further added to its protective abilities.
Wow, so vibrant they really stand out. Lovely dof. Interesting to hear that little bit of mythology regarding the fruits. Not heard that one before :)

@paul10 Thank you Paul - we had one outside my son's window and when he was little, I told him the myths! Sadly it died recently, but he has long moved away!
