Tulip Ending by megpicatilly

Tulip Ending

I love tulips, even when they are coming to an end. They seem to form so many shapes through their brief lives. @30pics4jackiesdiamond I used one of my textures to merge with this photograph!
Beautiful Catherine and looks 'real' . (If you know what I mean?!)

@30pics4jackiesdiamond I do! Adding a texture really changes an image.

@megpicatilly did you cut out the tulip nd then paste it on the texture layer. I really have no idea how to start but enjoy looking at your processed compositions

@30pics4jackiesdiamond I photographed the tulip against a white background, then opened up a texture photo, copied and pasted it onto the tulip (in photoshop) and then, to make the tulip show through, added a blending mode (again in photoshop), which merges the two layers together, but allows the lighter one to show through. I then erased the texture from the tulip. Hope this helps. I am sure there are other ways without photoshop, but haven't looked. Possibly You Tube might have something? Thank you for your lovely comment.

@laurieewilson It is a bit sad. Cut flowers are so beautiful to have in the house, but do not last very long.
February 19th, 2017
@milaniet @onewing Thank you both for your lovely comments on this one.

@paul10 Thank you Paul. I try to photograph things that might make a good texture. This was a wall!
February 19th, 2017
@claudiet Thank you. It was unusual for the tulip to stay intact for this long. Often they drop before this stage.
February 19th, 2017
@joysabin She is. The others were quite interesting too, but I thought this one had the best shape. Thank you for the fav too.
February 19th, 2017

February 19th, 2017
@s4sayer Tulips usually just drop, so it was nice that this one stayed around a bit longer!
