English Country Garden

How many kinds of sweet flowers grow
In an English country garden?
We'll tell you now of some that we know
Those we miss you'll surely pardon
Daffodils, heart's ease and flox
Meadowsweet and lady smocks
Gentian, lupine and tall hollihocks
Roses, foxgloves, snowdrops, blue forget-me-nots
In an English country garden
ENGLISH COUNTRY GARDEN
(Traditional)

Jimmie Rodgers - 1962

This song was often sung at my children's primary school. Although my photo doesn't feature any of those flowers, to me, this is such an English garden and my place of work today!!
What a lovely place to work!!! Great photo

Gorgeous. I'm sure you could introduce wisteria and euphorbia into the song with a bit of imagination! Fav
