A fine example of a Victorian pier. It was built between 1895 - 1897 and the first steamer to leave from here was the P.S. Lord Elgin on May 1st 1896. The last was the P.S. Embassy on August 24th 1966. Now, there are boat trips leaving from the pier to enjoy the beautiful coastal views.
All this shot needs now is a group of people parading up and down in Victorian costumes and you would be stepped back in time.
so nice to see it so well maintained.
