Deer by mittens

Deer

This was taken in my back yard. If you look close you can see a robin sitting on a branch behind the deer. A little extra bonus. LOL
Beautiful little guy

Beautiful and wow, a Robin. Seems early to me but then again, we have not had a winter.

@scooter Thank you. I've been seeing robins all winter. Maybe they know something we don't and didn't go south this year.

Beautiful deer! Wow. It's so great to have deer visit you. (I'd have to go to the zoo to see deer.) Beautiful shot!

Lovely shot, large robin! I have been told that our robins are different but did not realise the difference in size was so large.

beautiful shot - when we had our summer house in mountains of PA we'd have deer roaming thru all the time.

@mittens @cglist @scooter I am in Georgia, and we seem to have robins all winter, so not sure how we are supposed to know when Spring is coming. haha I saw the bird back there before I read this, but I thought it was a crow! It is so big! I see the red breast now though..wow. He is huge.
January 29th, 2012
@claireuk @espyetta The robin looks bigger probably than he really is. Maybe it's because I used a long lens. He's not small but he's not big either, if that makes any sense. :)

Cool. We have deer just occasionally. They are pygmy deer so we don't see them much - they are very shy and small. They hide in the bushes and you occasionally catch them at dawn, but I have never been close enough to photograph them.
This is a lovely shot, really lovely to see them boldly in the garden. Great capture.

How wonderful that you have deer in your back yard. Amazing capture & so cool about the branch....looks like he wants to sprout some antlers! Fav for me.

Wow- two in one shot! What great timing!

Haven't seen the deer in my boyfriends garden for so long. We only get hedgehogs in mine. They are cute, but I would really prefer it if they didn't hide in shadows - might stand on them! Gorgeous deer - bet she will have a pretty fawn in the Spring :)

Beautiful shot of the deer. I've been trying for days to find one I can shoot. So far, when I see them I don't have my camera. They don't come in my yard any more thanks to my dog.
