We loved our tour there. It was a step back to the 70’s. That shag carpet, smile. I loved the airplane too. He was The King for sure. A wealthy Fort Worth woman’s art collection is being auctioned at Sotheby’s in May and the biggest draw is an Andy Warhol painting of Elvis. They estimate it will sell for between $20 and $30 million. He really will always be an important part of our country’s music
@carole_sandford Thank you Carole. I was sincere when I said the house was modest. For someone who had so much money, the house was not huge and it had a homey feel to it and was not at all what I expected. At least that's how I remember it.
Good one for red! I've never been to Graceland but it's interesting to get your take on it. I've only seen pictures on TV and yes, compared to the ones I saw of Liberace's home, it was subdued! Glad your memories of the trip are good ones.
