This is an experiment with shape and color. I did not focus sharply so that I could accentuate the soft shapes and muted colors .
I really enjoyed seeing the color and shapes in the flowers alone..and asked the insects to sit out this photo session. :)

We must have been thinking on the same wavelengths yesterday as I too shot a flower with similar petals to this- but the end result was very different! Looks like we've been paired for this week's get pushed challenge. I see you do a lot of macro, so my challenge for you is to step away from your comfort zone and go big. As big as possible! Think big! ;). Can't wait to see!
This is a beautiful shot, colours are lovely and the soft focus adds a dreamy look to it. Glad you've enjoyed the book club, it's been an eye opener for me.
