My tags in this week's Tag Challenge are LAKE and GLASS.A really good reason to use my crystal ball.:)
Wow am I ever excited! It may not have made it to the tag challenge finals it was created for..but it made it to the TOP TWENTY! I am so stoked and have all of you, my friends to thank!!!! Thank you all! http://365project.org/blog/official-top-20-chart-week-179
Very pretty! I really have to read up on how to use mine!! I need to find a clear base too- I like my wooden one, but it doesn't photograph well. Love the colors and that beautiful flare!
@taffy thanks Taffy! Taffy if @skygirl doesn't show in the next day or so, can you select the finalists for Mundane Broom.Folks are looking for it.The show must go on,don't you think?
@mzzhope Sure, I'd be glad to do it. How long do you think I should wait?
BTW, a technical question on your photo which I keep coming back to. How far away were you standing from the crystal ball when you shot the photo? I've had so many failures and that's the last bit of information that I think might help. Thanks in advance if you don't mind sharing!
@taffy I had the ball about 5 feet off the ground sitting on the plank from a kayak rack. the rack was about 15 ft away from the shore line.If you can get it up high enough..you are good to go.
@mzzhope Thanks -- I think I'll try on the rooftop as that would get me high enough, and there's a flat cement raised wall around it. It just has to be a VERY still day (as I learned when vase went crashing down from there on one attempt). I'm excited to try it now -- it was the distance that was stumping me!
@taffy there is a learning curve with these things.I found it very frustrating at first. And I sure know what you mean about wind! The little lucite stand for this ball is very rickety!Sure hope nobody was hurt in your vase crash!
OK I want you to put an environmental activist hat on this week, highlight a local issue (or two!) and be a champion of the natural world.
