I gave my push partner Frank the challenge of creating an image that evokes a favorite holiday memory. I thought I would take the challenge myself. As a young teen, after my Dad died, his brother,my Uncle Jo was very important to me.When he moved we created a holiday tradition..I would send him sketches/templates for Christmas ornaments that he would cut out of wood .Then he would send them back to me to paint and decorate. I would keep some and send back some. This little snowman is one of our ornament collaborations. He is gone now too and I have all of our ornaments ....and the memory of doing them together. Even though we were far apart. It made us feel close. :)
What a lovely memory and how wonderful that he played such a huge role in your life. Goosebumps!!! Great capture of this and so nice to be able have such loving memories this time of year!!!
What a lovely tradition and so nice that you still have them - great memories. Thanks for sharing your special story. You're all still connected and what a great time of year to cherish those memories.
came back to fave, love the vintage feel and the lighting. I also wanted to tell you that I'm way behind on viewing but will get caught up, thanks for always commenting on mine! I feel like we're twin sisters of different mothers or something...I've noticed we often "fave" the same photos of other 365ers
How did I miss this? Such a beautiful story with the perfect processing to match ! I love that you still have them all alongside the beautiful memories! What a fabulous uncle! Fav:-)
