Northern Elephant Seal

Please forgive my lack of comments and responses.The internet connection is horrific.Just getting images uploaded is about all I can do.and that takes an hour! Today is all about my favorite marine mammal.They are amazing! So is their story.we visited the Piedras Blancas rookery yesterday.The beach was covered with hundreds these HUGE animals .Lots of newborns and mating happens at this time of year.

The only time I've seen something similar was also in CA. near San Diego- a place called Seal Beach. It was so funny to see them all lying there sunning themselves! Good shot!
