Monarch Migration Magic

The sun shining through the trees in the Pacific Grove Monarch butterfly overwintering site caused this cluster of butterflies to " cascade" down out of the pine trees where they usually huddle.

Nature can be so beautiful. I just finished reading the book Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver. She uses the migration patterns of the monarch butterfly as a sort of metaphor in her book. This is what it must look like in person!
