Knowing I am a retired preschool teacher,My awesome get-pushed partner Taffy challenged me to:"Using Danbo, create a diptych that captures the highs and the lows of being an early childhood educator."
Here we see Miss Danbo buried in unnessasary and inappropriate evaluations, paperwork and tests for 3 year olds. You can see how she feels about this by the fire in her eyes! Then we see Miss Danbo loving the time she spends interacting with children in the outdoors, fostering a love of learning, nature and living things. The outdoor classroom is her and the children's favorite place to be.Her motto is "No Child Left Inside"

You don't need a Danbo to participate in the Danbo and Friends competition! http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/22119/danbo-and-friends-new-theme
This is wonderful, I love your words, they ring so true... my daughter is just completing her teaching degree and finding out how much ridiculous expectations are put onto these little ones now. (Which also means more expectations put onto the teachers)
Fantastic shot, just love it. My sister is the director of a large early childhood centre. The ages range from 6 months (sometimes younger) to kindergarten. She just loves her job, it is a fantastic place to be. I sometimes visit in my firefighter uniform to give fire ed talks. The top part of the photo rings very true, it can get very hectic, it can drive my sister batty. But as per the bottom part, interacting with the kids is a joy too.
I like the creativity of your shot - and just as much like the thoughts behind it. Wish there was a simple answer - sure seems like teachers should have more input than they do.
