I Heart Milkweed by mzzhope

I Heart Milkweed

I brought my Milkweed pods indoors to protect them from insect damage and to let them dry out .Ill remove the fluff and place them in envelopes in the fridge ( they need to follow their natural cycle and so need to experience " winter") I'll take them out in spring and plant them.Without Milkweed there would be no Monarch Butterflies at all!
Beautiful shot!! I should collect some seeds from the local field to plant in my backyard!!

I love Milkweed too and have tried unsuccessfully four times to get them to grow on my property. I think it must be the soil. But I see that some has taken root in between our property and the neighbors where the "weeds" grow. Yipee!! This shot really brings out how pretty the seeds look when they are in the pod.
