Mutant

A fabulously wet and stormy day but all I’ve got in the way of photos is this mutant lemon my neighbour picked from my tree

Oh my word. That poor lemon. I wonder what happened to it during its formation. Such interesting shapes

Cool. It's a flower shaped lemon. I'd cut it open to see the internal structure and photograph it, of course. :)

I googled mutant lemons. It's happens because of citrus bud mite. Instead of becoming lemons with segments inside the peel, the mite distorts the segments which get covered in peel and the whole thing forms some fabulous shapes.
