I can't advise about doggie behavioural issues as I don't know enough... seems to me chihauhaus often display this kind of behaviour from what I've observed. Clearly better to socialise him so he isn't a risk to himself growling at other dogs if you can figure out how... Does Toots ever put him in his place so he can learn about hierarchy?
@seacreature I really don’t want him to be one of those annoying, yappy chihuahuas! 😩 Yes Toots does let him know when she’s had enough. Holding his muzzle seemed to stop him, and a guy with a poodle came along and said he did that with his and she stopped the barking...🤞🏼
never trained a dog - but choose a method and stick to it - be consistent - every time he barks inappropriately do it - but he is small and young, so reassure?
@anniesue tricky balance between “bad dog”, and “but it’s ok, I love you” ... I hope we figure it out! Might have to go to puppy school early next year.
