Pinhole Camera Solargraphy

Six months ago Owen and I each made a pinhole camera.

We fixed them outside and left them taking a photograph for 6 months.

Today we took them down and here are the results.

This is the photo from my camera, Owen's can be seen in my other album.

The lines across the top are the sun as it moves across the sky each day. The low lines being back in December and the higher lines more recently. Solid lines are sunny days, broken lines are patchy cloud and dark gaps are cloudy or overcast days or weeks.

My camera was pointing slightly down and I can pick out a few features in our garden, such as the trampoline, sand box and wall around the lower lawn.

The pale silhouette above the tree line in the middle is how high the trees were until we lopped the tops off them a couple of months ago.
Aaah! Now I was wondering not so very long ago how your project had worked out - great to see the results.
This is fascinating!

@dulciknit I'm very pleased with how they have come out. A very successful first attempt.

This looks great! Do you have a link to a tutorial on how to make one?
