I come bearing great news...just got married last Saturday! :D For our honeymoon, we took a long drive to this cool place and did not reserve any hotel accommodations beforehand. The plan was to look for a place there, when we get there.
We stumbled upon several hotels which were nice, saw some really bad ones (one had shiny pink walls with a TV up top, just like a police precinct's holding cell), but finally found a quaint little country-styled inn that had a separate bedroom from the receiving area. Not too expensive, not too cheap either, as Goldilocks would have it - just right for a weekend getaway.

@slava thank you slava! we did have fun in our honeymoon weekend; we gorged on the food during the trip since we weren't able to eat very well during the wedding's reception, as most couples must have on their wedding day :D
