the stuff of nightmares

my apologies for another craptastic mess... this is NOT how it looked in my head...

this is a composite of four shots...
-- the bread and toaster with the toaster wedged up on a wad of paper
-- just the bread without the toaster
-- a stick guy whose arms and legs i amputated in photoshop
-- a shot of a piece of cheesecloth to add texture

the first three smushed together in PS, then dragged into nik silver efex to convert to black and white... back to PS to add the texture and then to LR for some tones added to both highlights and shadows...

i definitely desperately need PS practice... i also desperately need to find my phojo...

Out of curiosity, why are you taking something that you have in PS, moving it to another program to make it B&W and then taking it back to PS? Why not just convert it to B&W in PhotoShop?
