Weekday Cross Bell by oldjosh

Weekday Cross Bell

The Nottingham Town Hall or Guildhall situated in Weekday Cross was constructed in 1483, it was demolished in 1894. The bell was cast in 1807 in London in the foundry of Thomas Mears & Son. It was suspended by a strong iron frame, surmounted by a vane, rising to a considerable height above the town hall roof to which it was fastened.
It is now inside the Council House, this and further information is on the notice next to it.
