This is one of our local kingfishers who inhabit the river Leen in Basford. All we usually see is a flash of colour as it flies low above the water. as I was walking to Bulwell it flew past me and landed some way ahead, with my new camera I was able to zoom in on it; when I got nearer to it, it flew on, it did this several times until it flew back down the river again. It was lovely watching it, only once have I seen the two kingfishers together.
