Freezing wind. Damaging gusts. So we were told. This fallen tulip, only just on the point of opening, may well be a victim.
I went to the Gym this morning. It was very quiet. I worked quite hard and was then ready for my swim.
The water was warm and the wind was making ripples over the water. Then the rains came and the gusts got stronger. The frozen lifeguard said that when they had opened up, the pool covers were all over the place, and in the water.
Were we mad ? Probably. Three of us who regularly venture out agreed that there's nothing to beat it.
