Big Butterfly Count 2016

I take part every year, and today I had NO time !!!

So obligingly, two Large Whites, one Holly Blue, and this Small Tortoiseshell turned up in my garden.

I know the grass needs cutting (Kevin will be here on Monday, weather permitting) but maybe that was an added encouragement

Beautiful capture! I think they do like the longer grass, we keep ours a bit long for all the creatures. I love how furry this one is!
