What a camera day today. Went on the first of a two day photographic course(late Xmas present) and talked about cameras, frames, ISO, focal length all day-brilliant. Then decided to go to the lake at St Albans to see the Herons and spent a very pleasant couple of hours watching the herons, build or repair their nests. At one time I had five herons in the frame, two pairs and one trying to steal nesting material. Anyway this is the (male-I think) heron bringing nesting material back, regretfully the shot I had where he was holding a massive branch in flight was not in focus-back to the course!!!
@ch1ppy_m1nton Fraid so, Sigma with a x2 converter on it, plus tripod and shutter release. Looks and is a bit of a handful but gets the result, Oh forgot to mention manual focus as well!!!!!!
