Mail scales

Inspiration was struggling today so I have used a shot I did yesterday. These scales have been around for as long as I can remember in one house or another. They were used to weigh the letters to ascertain the correct postage.

I guess you'd need bigger scales or bigger weights nowadays to make up for the increased postage...! Lovely old gadget, I wonder what has passed them over the years. Great tones too
