Derbyshire Stone-best on black if you have the time
Spent an awesome day with Chris Gilbert from Ravenseye Gallery(www.ravenseyegalery.co.uk) who introduced me to the world of landscape, using a tripod, filters and actually using RAW for the first time in my photographic life. Changed my whole attitude to this type of photography and really opened my eyes-pretty essential when trying to take photographs. I know Chris has just opened the door for me and I have to practise but the patience of the guy and his knowledge is unbelievable. I travelled from London specifically for a one day course with him as he is based near Monsal Head one of my favourite places in the world. If you want a great day and feel you want to get to grips with landscape then I would highly suggest you go and see Chris.
I think these one to one courses must be so helpful.....what could be better than that....beats all these courses with lots of people by a mile if my experience is anything to go by...my night school class was rubbish!
I can tell just by looking at this photo you have moved up a notch!
@happypat Pat, I cant speak highly of Chris enough. He really did open my eyes. Problem is my tripod is so heavy and yes you know what is coming next!!!
