At long last despite the rain the Kingfisher not only turned up but settled with a fish. This is an adult female and she sat for quiet a few minutes. You can tell she is an adult because she has orange claws, a juvenile has black claws and she has the tell tale orange lipstick on the low mandible. Success.
Perfect timing and composition! I have been trying to spot an actual kingfisher for awhile, but so far will have to content myself with looking at other's photos. This one is very nice!
