Male & Female Kingfisher by padlock

Male & Female Kingfisher

The female Kingfisher was very visible today, she was feeding a lot and generally making herself visible. After 6km and several hours later I found out why. Followed the female up and down the river when she settled in a bush, at first as she had eaten so much fish I thought she was going to disgorge a food ball. There was much bending and extending her body, I was very close and this surprised me when suddenly there were two Kingfishers in my viewfinder a male had arrived. He is the chap in the top left, displaying, sorry focus is soft but daren't change focus settings just kept clicking. All I can say is wow.
The hours and hours you have put in stalking riverbanks is paying off what a WOW moment. I wouldn't have changed a setting either for fear of spooking them if you were that close! I am sure you must need a a sidekick, I could carry your bag LOL!
