No Spots by pamalama

No Spots

I have never seen a lady bug with no spots. We finally got some much needed rain. The air quality was much better today.
So fresh and cute!

Nice capture! Love the water drops on the beetle. I looked it up and spotless ladybugs are not as rare as one would think.

Lovely capture, but I think that's the Asian lady beetle. It's the "M" that gives it away.

@marlboromaam Ugh! I was wondering if it was one of them. Now I know what to look for. Thanks, Mags.

What a wonderful photograph. I love the green with the flash of red.
First time I’ve seen one of these, and from perusing the comments above, it’s not the most welcome of visitors. It’s very cute, though.

I didn't pick up the lack of spots until you mentioned it - it was just a fab little red spot. But now - he looks a bit weird!

No, not a ladybug, definitely the Asian version- which although helpful the same way in the garden (they eat aphids) they will not go away. They find cracks in your wall and hibernate in your home for the winter. Come spring you'll find them swarming all over your windows! This happened in our former home 3 times before they finally moved on with the aid of bug spray- it was the only way we could get rid of them! (Believe me, I tried catch and release but there were WAY to many of them to do a hundred a so a day until they were gone.) However, all that being said, it's a great shot- especially the color of the bug against the vibrant green leaves.

@olivetreeann Goodness I hope I do not get them in my house. I do know they kill our native lady bugs. Really not good to have around.
