Hand Me Down by pamelaf

Hand Me Down

A patchwork quilt, made by Jessie Emma May Smith, born in Red Wing, Minnesota in 1872. Handed down to her daughter, Doris Evelyn Shields, born in Minneapolis in 1907. Made into a baby blanket in 1969 for my daughter by her grandmother. The pieces are likely all from worn out nightgowns, pajamas and sheets. Looks much better when you use the magnifying glass at the top of the picture!
So beautiful Pam...what a wonderful piece
