Mystery Tree by pandorasecho

Mystery Tree

The buds on this tree are covered in a soft velvet, the flowers smell like hyacinth and the leaves stay on year round. It is the only one I've seen around here and sturdy enough that it has survived at least 30 years of kids climbing in its branches at the school
Great capture, beautiful flowers, they are a mystery to me too.

This might be a type of Magnolia. That would be my guess- the flower looks similar to that kind of tree.

This is a Star Magnolia. I took a picture of a Saucer Magnolia the other day and for the life of me I couldn't think of the right name. But my cousin set me straight, so I know for sure this is a Star. :o)
