Here is a college made of pictures within the length of about a couple blocks. I parked in the redwoods, walked down to the Smith River, watched the Turkey and then strolled through the grasslands
so enjoy collages, they provide so much to look at! i agree that the photo with the van really gives perspective to the size of the redwood next to it. you live in an amazing place, Dixie.
@worthitall@secreed@catsmeowb@gnilrets The top right picture shows a forest of redwoods beyond the grass, but without something to give is perspective, it doesn't give you a clue. I've learned here you need a person or a car to get any idea of size in pictures
Gorgeous photos! We will be driving through your neck of the woods in a few weeks on our way from San Francisco to Portland and I just can't wait! I'm so excited to be able to see all the things you take pictures of! :o)
@hoosierhokie Great! I honestly don't think the Redwoods can dissapoint anyone but when I finally got my very taciturn Grandma to visit, her only comment was, "they don't look red to me" and the first time she saw the ocean, "kind of like Yellowstone Lake"
Lovely ... I love each photo here! Amazing what you saw in that short walk. What a beautiful place and the immensity of some of the trees is amazing. Oh, if you're giving tours, sign me up!! :)
that is an awesome collection of photos, dixie. if i was living near there, i'd be a painter instead of photographer. such a calming place (there are no snakes there, or alligator, are there?). wonderful!
Your wildlife pictures are always so lovely to look at. You live in one of the most beautiful places in the country! I would think it's awe-inspiring to walk among redwoods!! Lovely collage!
