Gold by pandorasecho

Gold

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Alfred R. Ferguson

I couldn't resist putting these up early just because I cant bear waiting to see the calendar grid and it shames me to say, but 'm so into the colors I've lost track of next weeks awesome-august challenge and done another row of color collages, because after all, I'm having so much fun with them and I can decide to do it this way, The 365 is complete and this year I can bend my own rules.

The couple in the frame are my Mom and Dad, there is a Pirates of the Caribbean necklace, An Amber necklace I got in Poland by the Baltic Sea, my family ring with all of our birthstones in Black Hills Gold, because we used to live in the Black Hills and more of course. The belt reminds me of the gift Mary Poppins got from the snake for her birthday, but film watchers didn't see that, you have to read to know.
I love this shot, I like all the little 'treasures' too :)

Love your gold items ... especially the frame with your Mom and Dad! Lovely ... but like Ferguson says, "Nothing gold can stay." Wonderful composition and comment.

@scrappy You can find it under discuss and then under themes and competitions but pretty sure monday is what you had for breakfast and Wednesday is lunch and there is a dinner and where you worship. I think it makes interesting timing for you with Ramadan.

@tooki Yes. My son won the plastic Oscar for singing a solo in the library summer reading program talent show and the long life man and laughing Buddha are from when I went to college in Beijing
