“I see you everywhere, in the stars, in the river, to me you're everything that exists; the reality of everything.”
― Virginia Woolf, Night and Day
The Same sensation on these saturdays in October that I have been looking for is "Change" Twice in every 24 hours the sky lights up with a show better than the best fireworks, as it changes the quality of the light and the pace of out lives.
I really love that the woman from India blended the "Indian" that the 1850 girl was terrified of, with the "Native American" that the 2002 girl was and called them "Native Indians"
6:41 a.m.?!! Wow ... bravo for you, Dixie. You must be an early morning person. I never get to bed until about 1:00 a.m. That said, it was well worth getting up to capture this great photo .. how beautiful the skies are. The colors are fantastic. Superb timing..lighting is everything. I read part of that review of your book. How exciting is that? And to think that more teachers want it .....I am SO HAPPY for you. Thank you for sharing. :)
Beautiful sky, Dixie! Love your quote! Am hoping to get to the bookstore tomorrow (Teachers" Appreciate Week - discount for teacher at Barnes and Noble) Hope to be able to pick up your book!
Beautiful sunrise! I always tell myself that I should get up early a couple of times so that I can capture some of the early morning mist around here. Yes, I tell myself that but am not very good on the follow through!! Glad to hear the book is doing well. I've got to remember to order that! Once more- lovely shot!
this is just plain gorgeous! every morning i look out my kitchen window and see beautiful colours and i'd tell myself one day i'll wake up early to catch a sunrise. no, not happening, maybe not until dead of winter. in any case, the colours here are lovely and the textures soft and delicious.
kudos on the book. did i tell you i never got to finish reading it because i lost the darn book, and despite it having a book plate with my phone and e-mail address, nobody cared to return it. i'm beating up a friend at work's ass who writes, gave her an assignment of 300 words a day at least until end of may after which we shall have her first draft celebration. been doing good so far. now, if i can only do the same thing. :-)
