In My Yard #4

When I started at the top of the redwood on October 1st this was how the base of the trees looked. Now, it is greener and the sunflowers are gong down for the count.

Still if you look on calendar view the column will give you a glimpse at a skinny slice of my view when I stand at my front door

You can see that the overlap wasn't as successful as I was hoping but it will have to do.
I love how you created that vertical view on your calendar! Unfortunately I've never been able to grown sunflowers. I think the squirrels ate the seeds. But will try again in the spring as we don't have as many squirrels as we did in the past. Lovely shot!

@cimes1 I have to start them indoors and after I transplant them guard them from slugs and snails until they are large enough to get that furry defense on their stems

So pretty. Sunflowers are such neat looking flowers. I like your other shot, too, of them peeking up into the frame.

Looks like they are hanging in there. Sunflowers are so hearty, but it is about time for them to go.

Cool view - I like the changing colours down the tree in the calendar, and the bright sunflowers too :)

Sad to see the sunflowers fading with onset of fall- but that is how the seasons come and go. The calendar looks good too!

your calendar's looking great, not to worry if this didn't overlap with the last one. your sunflowers are still looking good, maybe i should have some planted for next year.
