I heard a couple of songbirds sing after dark this month as well, Dixie. It was totally surprising. So often we don't even notice them that much in summer because there are so many- but in winter, in the dark, to hear a songbird, when it is the only thing making a noise, is remarkable!
I love the color of the water here- it reminds of the mountain streams I saw in Colorado. And such a hopeful thought- one I will try to remember in Jan. and Feb.!
